RDM is a recognized industry leader in the evaluation, design, construction, and management of airfield pavements. We have performed research for the FAA as well as other government agencies and commercial clients regarding statistical quality assurance specifications, mechanistic structural design methods, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), material recycling, and new pavement materials. From evaluation of the in-situ condition and the distresses that are being experienced, RDM develops a project specific approach to deliver the most economical pavement testing and geotechnical investigation program to build an understanding for each individual project worked on. RDM’s expertise and experience in pavement materials and failures, such as durability concerns, alkali silica reactivity (ASR), etc., provides the understanding of how different materials will perform and the optimum rehabilitation for any scenario. RDM’s extensive experience in overseeing construction of Asphalt and Portland Cement Concrete projects provides an understanding of constructability challenges leading to a design that avoids costly delays and change orders during construction.
